Vintage Sindhi embroidered tunic, locally known as Chola. This style of tunic is comprised of different pieces or embroidered panels sewn together. Often this served as a wedding dress and was worn on other important occasions as well. The area with the shinny metallic embroidery appears to be the oldest portion of the garment with the sleeves and the bottom panel being the most recent. Wearable but some what delicate-- great for display. Very unusual main panel. Beautiful example of embroidery from this region.
