Stunning Antique Thalposh, dowry coverlet, from Sindh, Pakistan or Rajasthan, India - c. 1910-1920. Silk and cotton embroidery on cotton backing cloth. This type of piece would be part of a dowry and prominently displayed during the wedding ceremonies and subsequent occasions with visitors. This piece is exceptionally finely worked using multiple techniques, very interesting design composition. Unfortunately it has damage as shown in detailed photos. Would look lovely on the wall.
