Early to mid 20th Century Bokano from Sindh, Pakistan. These embroidered wedding sashes were made by the mother-n-law to be and worn by the groom during the wedding ceremonies. Due to the their shape they lend themselves to an unusual set of designs, this one being somewhat of stylized pomegranate or other opened fruit. Worked in cotton on cotton backing cloth with shisha work (mirror,) good condition for the age.
