Beautiful mid 20th Century (1940s or 50s,) embroidered coverlet from NW India. Likely the work of the Rabari, the design is well done and the colors great, though it could have been created by another group in the region of Gujarat/Sindh/Rajasthan, it bears many of the hallmarks of Rabari work. The condition is very good for the age. This particular size/shape of piece would likely have been embroidered for display during a wedding ceremony or prominently featured in a home.
