These vintage Kuchi tassels are from northern Pakistan / Afghanistan. They are ornately wrapped/tied with metalic thread and cotton and finished with metal tassel covers and bead accents. Originally they were used for tribal décor and were often used to decorate animal trappings as well. Recently they have gained huge popularity in the Tribal Belly dance community as costume embellishments. Some of these tassels have seen authentic tribal wear, they are NOT brand new.
