Great Beaded Gul (flower)/ amulet used to embellish clothing and animal trappings in Northern Pakistan and parts of Afghanistan. Each beaded disk is made by hand, in traditional designs and colors; they are usually used to cover seams and to decorate ornate garments and bags. Most date from about 1960-1980, but there are a few that are newer or older mixed in with the inventory.
These traditional hand made bead amulet embellishments have become popular tribal belly dance accessories for turbans, headpieces, tribal belts, bras and more.
