Bold and unusual Aandheri, animal headdress, from Sindh, Pakistan. Mid 20th century, eye catching colour combination, bright oranges, pinks, and purples with great shisha (mirror) work. This worn as a headdress by animals on cerimonial occasions, with the ears going through the holes. Thee wedge shape is also quite unusual. These embroideries were show pieces for embroidery and design skill.
