Nice old silver ring from the Swat Kohistan region of northern Pakistan. This style was worn by men and women, frequently as thumb rings. A very ancient design, with some great decorative work on the side of the setting. The original stone has been replaced, but likely was also glass. Not as heavy as it looks.
